Reduce waste

Traditionally, returned and surplus inventory is sold in bulk and then shipped multiple times over several months before reaching the end consumer. This process is inefficient and wasteful, and provides little transparency over the entire product lifecycle. Our solutions empower retailers to direct every returned and surplus item to their next best home, taking product away from the landfill, reducing contact and partnering with donation and recycling organizations.

From customer initiation to warehouse handling and resale, we offer powerful solutions for retailers and brands looking to improve outcomes at all points in the return lifecycle and redirect waste from landfills. Through partnerships with leading brands and retailers, our solutions have enabled the following

Green business

Choosing the greenest companies as well as the least wasteful packaging and shipping options are great ways to limit the environmental impact of consumption.

Reducing the environmental impact of returned products is often considered prohibitively costly for the company. The main reason for the return is that the item arrived damaged. This means the product cannot be resold and is therefore trash. The company mails the product, which is harmful to the environment, and then the customer mails back the broken product, so they are essentially sending the trash - how wasteful!

Damage mitigation efforts can increase the number of items that can be resold and reduce the number of returns. There are many other ways companies can reduce the wastefulness of product returns, especially by ensuring that returned products are still attractive to other customers, perhaps through a certified “new” evaluation program.

Working together is essential to limit our impact on the environment as much as possible. We need to think about how our actions affect the world.
